How it works
Confirm guest friction
Prefer apps where guests join via QR in the browser — no App Store step.
Pick your reveal ritual
Delayed reveal mimics film developing; live gallery works for smaller parties.
Decide post-event output
Album only, photobook print, or highlight reel — not every app does all three.
Try a demo before paying
Most apps offer a free tier or demo QR — test on the venue WiFi if possible.
Place QR codes early
Table cards, welcome signs, and a group-chat link drive participation.

Common questions
What is the best disposable camera app?
The best disposable camera app is the one your guests will actually use: QR join with no download, a shot limit that feels like film, and the after-event output you care about. Momento wins when you want that ritual plus challenges, awards, and an AI-curated highlight reel. POV and Lense lead when you prioritize photobooks or a huge existing guest base. Disposable.app is the simplest free starting point.
What is the best disposable camera app overall?
There is no single winner for every wedding. Compare friction (browser vs install), reveal timing, pricing, and whether you need a recap reel. Use this page as a shortlist, then try a demo QR on venue Wi‑Fi before you pay.
Do guests need to download an app?
Most modern event apps — including Momento, POV (App Clip / web), Lense, Once, and JoinMyMoment — let guests join via QR without installing a full app. Always test on your venue network before the event.
Is Momento on the App Store?
Momento is web-first today: hosts and guests use the browser. Native iOS/Android apps are on the roadmap. You do not need an app store listing for guests to participate.
Do these apps replace a wedding photographer?
No. They collect candid guest POVs alongside professional photography — different angles, not replacement shots.
Where can I compare Momento to POV or Lense in detail?
